Bernard Anthony Skerl, Jr., age 66, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at home.

Bernie was born June 2, 1955, in Barberton, OH, to Bernard Anthony Skerl, Sr. and Nancy (Cerosky) Skerl. He graduated from Manchester High School in Akron, OH, in 1973. Bernie was a Veteran in the United States Army Reserves and the United States Air Force where he was involved with Strategic Air Command. He worked as an Electrical Specialist for Alcoa before retiring in 2009 after 19 years of service. He enjoyed astronomy, model airplanes, electronics, and collecting rocks and fossils. Bernie especially loved his granddaughter, Izzy. She was his pride and joy. They did absolutely everything together, especially riding around and listening to music.

Bernie is survived by his parents, Bernard and Nancy Skerl; daughter, Rachel Reynolds (Patrick Heineman); granddaughter, Izabella Reynolds; ex-wife, Patricia Skerl; and little buddy, Ernie.

Bernie is preceded in death by his sister, Christine Marie Wright; and brother, Daniel George Skerl.

A Celebration of Life will be held at later date and Burial will be Private.
