Betty L. Beabout, age 89, of Evansville, IN, passed away, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital Evansville.
Betty was born July 20, 1936, in Crown City, Ohio to Arden and Pauline (Haskins) Fulks. She graduated from Mercerville High School in 1955 where she met her husband, Dan, on a blind date. The two were married shortly after graduation. Betty later worked as a hostess at Midwest Harness Race Track in Henderson, KY. She also dedicated her time to Chanel 9 Radio Reading Service as a reader for the blind and coordinated the station’s reading schedule.
Betty had many hobbies including crochet and ceramics. She was a fan of karaoke and her go to song was Rocky Top. Betty loved the beach, and frequently traveled to Treasure Island, Florida with her husband.
Betty is survived by her husband, Dan Beabout; Sons, Dan Alan Beabout (Lucia), Nicholas Beabout, Michael Beabout, Barry Beabout (Shannon); Sister, Sandra Montgomery (Harold); grandchildren, Matthew, Laura, Kathryn, Shawn, Daniel, and Samuel; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Arden and Pauline Fulks.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, June 5, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
