Betty J. (Elmendorf) Campbell, age 96, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Melrose Assisted Living.
Betty was born October 8, 1929, in St. Louis, MO, to Clyde & Isabel (Gates) Elmendorf. She graduated from Reitz High School in 1947. Betty worked in customer service for Indiana Bell (AT&T) for 29 years. She was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church for 40 years, before that a devoted member of Fairlawn Methodist Church.
Betty is survived by her son, Steven Bagby (Rose); daughter, Brenda (Bagby) Baldwin; grandchildren, John Winterman (Jen), Lisa Mannella (George), Beth Anne Winterman, Christina Kubycheck (Russ), Brian Winterman, Nicholas Bagby (Alex), Zach Mulvey, and Rachel Shouse (Thomas); and 16 beloved great grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Turpen; her parents, Clyde & Isabel Elmendorf; and her daughter, Marsha Mulvey.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Heather Foley officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
