Betty Jo Mayfield, 90, of Evansville, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Holiday Retirement Village.
She was born on October 5, 1931, in Tell City, Indiana to Walter and Rose Chapple.
Betty married her loving husband on September 6, 1953 and they were married for 68 years. After they retired, she and Jim loved to travel. They also spent their winters in Florida. Betty was a very compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church.
Betty was very passionate about her crafts and ceramics. She was very talented and had her own kiln. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband James Mayfield; sons, Jim Mayfield (Gina) and Dean Mayfield (Charlene); grandchildren, Sara Luebke, Mary Lee Chessor (Jonathan) and Megan Pawlowski (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Kaiah, Derek, Rhys and Rhett.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Agnes Siscel, Naomi Heckel and Louise Gilliand; brothers Ralph Chapple and Jim Chapple.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00p.m., Friday, August 19, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating.
