Betty L. (Stevens) Baum, age 88, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at Heart to Heart Hospice.
Betty was born March 19, 1936, in Providence, KY, to the late Johnny Stevens and Georgia Ruth (Gibson) Stevens. She graduated from Madisonville High School. Betty was a member of Bible Center Cathedral. She worked at F.J. Gourley & Sons Concrete Contractors for 17 years serving as the Office Clerk until her retirement. Betty loved listening to gospel music especially Gaither Vocal Band, the Happy Goodman Family and her favorite vocalist, her husband.
Betty is survived by her granddaughter whom she raised, Melissa Edmondson (Scotty); sons, Terry Baum (Debra) and Bryan Baum (Pamela); sisters, Kay Barnett and Sharon Bryan (Ron);
brother, Richie Stevens; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 72 years, Robert L. Baum; daughter, Janet Hunter; infant daughter, Rebecca Lynn Baum; sister, Patricia Rhoades; brother, Johnny Wayne Stevens; and granddaughter, Danielle Baum.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Terry Baum, Pastor Matthew Baum and Pastor Clint Walker officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
