Beverly Joan "Joanie" Weyer

Beverly Joan “Joanie” Weyer, age 88, recently of Northfield, MN, died Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Trinity Care Center in Farmington.

Joanie was born and raised in Evansville, IN, and moved to Northfield in 2014 to be close to family. She enjoyed frequent worldwide cruises with her brother Jack K. Varner (d. 2018) and was an avid, winning Bingo player. She enjoyed Las Vegas and local casinos and adored Elvis Presley, her favorite to the very end. Joanie had an artistic flair for crafts: she loved decorating clothes, making ornaments (including miniature illuminated Christmas trees), creating beautiful watercolor notecards, collecting cookbooks. She made the best meatloaf in the family. Everyone loved Joanie’s irrepressible naughty sense of humor.

Joanie is survived by her daughter, Becky Boling (Doug Green) of Northfield, MN; grandson, Zachary Boling-Green of St. Paul, MN; and her cousin, Linda Dixon of Haubstadt, IN.

Joanie is preceded in death by her husband, Randolph “Rope” Weyer; and her beloved brother, Jack.

A Mass will be said in her memory at the Church of St. Dominic at a later date. Her remains will be entombed, as she desired, at Park Lawn Mausoleum, Evansville, IN.
