Bill Foster

Bill Joseph Foster, age 81, of Evansville, IN, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 23, 2020.

Bill was born September 24, 1938, in Evansville, IN, to George Foster and Elizabeth (Gruebel) Foster. He served in the Marine Corps. Bill retired from General Electric as a shift leader.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Margaret (Kerr) Foster; daughters, Tracy Foster and Erica Robb (Todd); and son, Steven Foster (Kelly); and niece and nephews.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Esther Riedel; brothers, Charles Riedel and Bob Foster.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Father Ted Tempel officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery where American Legion Newburgh Kapperman Post  #44 will perform full military rites.   

Friends may visit from  4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2020 and Thursday May 28, 2020 from 10:00 a.m., until service time at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
