Billie C. (Briggs) Pavey

Billie C. (Briggs) Pavey, age 81, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 7:40 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Golden Living Center – Woodlands.

Billie was born March 31, 1940, in Gibson County, IN, to George and Elpha (Drew) Briggs. She worked for 23 years as a bartender at the Princeton VFW Post 1147. Billie enjoyed crossword puzzles, and she especially loved her grandchildren.

Billie is survived by her daughter, Amy Payne-Allen (Dallas); sons, Larry Payne (Lisa) and Roger Payne (Ralanna); sisters, Marna Miller, Vickie McGowan (Charlie), Elizabeth Ruble (Tom), and Georgia Sue Curtis; brothers, Mike Briggs (Brenda), Bobby Briggs, and Patrick Briggs (Bee); 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, George and Elpha Briggs; husband, Danny Pavey; sister, Mitzi Hartley; and brothers, Jay Charles Briggs and David Briggs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Gene Burkhardt officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
