Billy Joe Walburn Obituary

Billy Joe Walburn, age 85, of Francisco, IN, went home to be with the Lord at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family.

Billy was born April 19, 1936, in Princeton, IN, to Ira C. and Carrie H. (Nolan) Walburn. He was a Veteran in the United States Army. Billy was a faithful member of Christian Holiness Church. He retired as medicine delivery driver for several pharmacies. Billy loved his family dearly, and he loved to tell others how Jesus saved him.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Wilma Maxine (Delk) Walburn; daughters, Teresa Shehorn (Shannon) and Tina Kirkman (Stephen); sons, Michael Walburn (Jan), Rick Walburn, and Timothy Walburn (Barb); 17 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Carrie Walburn; brothers, Lewis Walburn and Virgil Walburn; granddaughter, Falon R. Pauw; and grandson, Austyn Walburn.

Funeral Services will be Private due to the outbreak of Covid-19  at 1:00 p.m. CST, Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time. Burial will be Private held at Twin Oaks Cemetery in Petersburg, IN, where the American Legion Kapperman Post 44 will render full military rites.
