Brenda Elizabeth (Knotts) Douglas, age 68, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital – Newburgh.
Brenda was born October 6, 1956, in Evansville, IN, to Benton Knotts and Betty Jean (Padgett) Knotts. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1975 and retired from 23 years of service as a waitress at The Sports Den. In her younger years, she worked briefly as a factory worker and following retirement, she worked in house cleaning for a few years. Brenda loved pink flamingos. She was a busy bee who enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her home. Brenda’s family was her whole world. She loved hosting family dinners, and most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. She was loved and will be deeply missed.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Randall “Randy” Joe Douglas; sons, Patrick Douglas (Kristy) and Brett Douglas (Heather); sisters, Janet Poe, Stacey Jackson, and Emma Hodge; brothers, Terry Knotts and Dennis Knotts; sister-in-law, Kathy Elsfelder; brother-in-law, Norman Douglas (Brenda); grandchildren, Damian Douglas (Brooke), Chelsee Morrison (Anthony), Aron Douglas, Jarid Douglas, Colton Douglas, Nevaeh Douglas, and Jeffrey Hale, Jr.; great grandchildren, Layton, Annabelle, Sage, Cam, Elaina, Ariah, Leilah, Brazon, Lakelynn, and Jeffrey III “Bub;” and many nieces and nephews.
Brenda is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kerrie Lee Douglas, who passed away in 2019; siblings, Mike Knotts, Anita Herron, and infant sister, Linda; parents-in-law, Norman and Mary Douglas; and brother-in-law, Stephen Elsfelder.
Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Alan Jackson officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Mausoleum at a later date.
Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until service time, 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
