Bret Anthony Goebel, age 65, of Evansville, IN, passed away suddenly, on November 12, 2025.

Bret was born to Robert H. “Bob” Goebel and Sharon F. (Conrad) Otto. He graduated from Bayshore High School in Bradenton, FL, with the Class of 1978. A dedicated and hardworking man, Bret drove for FedEx for 15 years.  He went on to own and operate Precision Lighting and Precision Lawn Care for 25 years. Bret enjoyed decorating his home and clients’ homes with lights during the holidays. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand, always helping his family with their projects.

He loved spending his time outdoors, especially fishing and boating. At home, he cherished his rescue cats and also cared for stray cats around his shop. Bret was always up for a good time and will be remembered for his great sense of humor, easygoing nature, and the joy he found in being a grandfather. His grandkids were truly the light of his life.

Bret’s kindness, laughter, love for his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bret is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sheila (Burns) Goebel; sons, Kyle Goebel (Claudia), Evan Goebel (Elinor); father, Robert H.
