Carl Stroud Obituary

Carl Duane Stroud, age 69, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025, at his home.

Carl was born January 14, 1956, in Evansville, IN to Donald Gary Stroud, Sr. and Pauline (Johnson) Fuchs. Carl served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam and worked for Labors Local 561. Carl attended Christ Gospel Church. He loved to spend time watching his “cowboy” shows, Fox News, TikTok, talking on FaceTime, and scratching lottery tickets. 

Carl is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lisa (Bufkin) Stroud; son, Aaron Stroud; daughters, Dottie Thomas (Jeff), Renea Blackburn (Jacob), Brandy Sievers (Andy), Courtney Schenk (Casey); and Kaci Billman (Blake); grandchildren, Amanda Harris (Shedrique), Gavin Blackburn, Deacon Sievers, Corie Schenk, Carlee Schenk, Brooks Billman, and Conway Billman; great-grandchildren, Ravyn and Aria; brothers, Alan Stroud, Denny Stroud and Tim Stroud (Angie); and several nieces and nephews.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Shemwell; brothers, Michael Stroud, Donald “Little Donald” Stroud.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Sharon Spicer officiating. American Legion Kapperman Post #44 will be rendering military rights. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
