Carol L. Hester

Carol L. Hester, age 83, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 12:55 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Carol was born December 22, 1936, in Normal, IL, to Ronald Glen Arnold and Violet Marie (Taylor) Arnold. She graduated from Central High School in 1957 and later from Indiana Business College. Carol worked as a Merchandiser for Woolco and previously for K-Mart.

Carol is survived by her daughter, LaDonna Marie Halfacre (Jim); son Michael Ray Hester (Melinda); sisters Beatrice “Bea” Barton, Barbara Day, Marjorie June Wierchowski (Lee), Patricia Fern Tooke (Kenneth), Diane Sue Roque (Don), half-sister, Peggy Morris; and brothers, Donald “Don” Arnold (Joy), Dean Arnold (Janice).

Carol is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, William R. Hester Sr.; son, William R. Hester, Jr.; and brothers, Albert and Richard Arnold.

Private Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL– A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue.
