Caroline Sue (Camp) Sugg

Caroline Sue (Camp) Sugg, age 86, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

Caroline was born February 24, 1939, in Vincennes, IN, to Donald Camp and Ruby E. (Wilhite) Camp. She attended Oakland City High School and was a past member of First Assembly of God and more recently, a member of Chandler Church of the Nazarene. Caroline loved her television, watching numerous kinds of shows. She was an IN State and IU Basketball fan, and she enjoyed attending the Frog Folies, watching NASCAR, and reading. Her family was her whole world! She fiercely loved her husband; they traveled all over in their ’49 Chevy, lovingly named their "date car." They enjoyed going to Patti’s 1880s Settlement in Grand Rivers, KY, and traveling to the coast. Caroline loved spending time with her sisters, who were her best friends. She dearly loved her children and was immensely proud of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Caroline was a special lady and a precious wife and mother.

Caroline is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Harold R. Sugg; daughters, Deborah Todd, Linda Hulse (Sam), and Angela Gill (Rocky); sons, Daniel Sugg, Sr. and David Sugg (Carol); sisters, Donna Willis and Margie Stilwell (Roy); 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren with one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Caroline is preceded in death by her father, Donald Camp; mother and stepfather, Ruby and Robert Crow; and brother-in-law, William Edward Willis.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Michael Bell officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery, Henderson, KY.

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, July 21, 2025, and from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
