Charles P. Kimmel, Jr.

Charles P. Kimmel, Jr., age 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026.

Charles was born July 24, 1948, in Evansville, IN, to Charles P. Kimmel, Sr. and Violet R. Norrington. He graduated from Central High School in 1966. Charles proudly served 4 years for his country in the United States Navy. He met his wife, Joyce, his first week at Deaconess in 1972. Charles retired from Deaconess Hospital after 38 years as a pharmacy tech. He enjoyed singing karaoke with the “Over The Hill Gang” at bars and nursing homes. Charles loved spoiling his granddaughters by taking them and family on many vacations to Disney, Myrtle Beach, Holiday World and Mall of America to name a few.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Christina Clifford (Paul) and Michelle Kimmel; brother, Steven Kimmel (Beverly); and grandchildren, Trinity and Ellie Clifford.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Violet; beloved wife of 49 years, Joyce Kimmel; sister, Karen Barr; and brother, Daniel Kimmel.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition1 Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, IN.

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and again from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Thursday, June 18 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
