Charles Allen Rhoads, 74, of Evansville, died at 10:10 a.m. Monday at Evansville Protestant Home.
He retired in 1986 as a trust officer for Old National Bank after 38 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a lifetime alumnus of the University of Illinois and a Kentucky Colonel.
He was a charter member and trustee of Eastminster Presbyterian Church and a member of the Downtown Civitan Club, Evansville Homebuilders, and Evansville and Indiana Realtor’s associations. .
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Eleanor (Leighty); two daughters, Karen Rhoads and Janet Ann Leistner, both of Evansville; a son, Vincent Allen of Newburgh; a brother, Richard F. Davis of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.; and a niece and nephew.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Boone Funeral Home — 5330 Washington Ave., with burial in Wabash Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Allendale, Illinois.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
