Charles V. Wiley, age 76, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Heart to Heart Hospice House.
Charles was born March 21, 1949, in Evansville, IN, to the late Robert B. Wiley and Evadne (Cook) Wiley. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1967. Charles Owned and Operated Wiley Floorcovering for many years. He later worked for Meuth Carpet and Supply. He was very proud of his Scottish and Irish heritage, enjoyed visiting as well as listening to music. Charles enjoyed coin collecting. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. His passion was meticulously manicuring his backyard, enjoying plants, flowers, and landscaping. The loves of his life were his family and beloved dogs; Weejock, Winslow, and Benson.
Charles is survived by his grandson, Alexander “Alex” Wiley; granddaughter, Kate Wiley; daughter-in-law, Teresa Wiley; good friend, Kenny Brown; and neighbor, Ronnie.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Beverly (Johnston) Wiley; parents, Robert and Evadne Wiley; infant daughter, Lori; sons, Robert C. Wiley and Kevin C. Wiley; and brother, Gary W. Wiley.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastors Kirk and Candy Steele officiating. A Private Burial will be in Stewartsville Cemetery, Posey County, IN.
Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
