Charles L. “Red Line” Davis, age 78, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
Charlie was born August 1, 1947, in Princeton, KY, to the late Lowell and Era (Ferrell) Davis. He graduated from North High School in 1965 and was a faithful member of Christian Fellowship Church. He loved having coffee every Friday with his friend, Dale Beaver. He was a Veteran in the United States Army. He loved being a soldier, and he loved Alaska. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and retired from Keller Crescent with over 30 years of working as a First Line Offset Pressman. Charlie enjoyed watching NASCAR and WWE, and he loved coaching and watching his grandkids play baseball.
Charlies is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Anna (Lucas) Davis; daughters, Natalie Thurmond (Steven) and Melissa Tabor; son, Jason Davis; sister, Ann Pittman; grandchildren, Jasmine, Christina, Zachary, DeMarka, Madison, Hannah, DeonDre, Coleman, and Easton; and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. CST, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Road, Evansville, IN, with Pastor Dale Beaver officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn Mausoleum where the American Legion Kapperman Post 44 will render military rites.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. CST, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Christian Fellowship Church.
