Chester B. Peak, Jr., age 84, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway.
Chester was born June 6, 1937, in Evansville, IN, to Chester B. Peak, Sr. and Mayzell (Warren) Peak. He graduated from Central High School in 1955 and served in the United States National Guard. Chester was a member of First Baptist Church, and he retired from SIGECO in 1993 after 40 years of service. Chester was a member of the Daylight Masonic Lodge 752, a 33rd Degree Mason, Scottish Rite, and a member of the Hadi Shrine Temple. Chester belonging to the Color Guard where he was twice Captain. He was a past master in Lessing and Daylight Lodges.
Chester is survived by his loving wife, Judy (LaRoe) Peak; daughter, Paula Brinkmeyer (David); grandchildren, Austin, Jenna (Jordan), Noah (Ashley), and Jill (Nolan); and great grandchildren, Jaelin and Carter.
Chester is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mayzell Peak; son, Christopher Peak; sister, Doris Thornhill; and brother, George Peak.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Steve Claspell officiating. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel where the Hadi Shrine and 33rd will perform a walk through at 6:45 p.m followed by a Daylight Masonic Lodge 752 service. A Live Stream will be available. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
