Chris K. (Gemlich) Heidorn, age 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Chris was born August 1, 1948, in Evansville, IN, to Martin L. Gemlich and Margaret A. (Younker) Gemlich Trusty. She graduated from Boonville High School in 1966. Chris and her husband were co-owners at Heidorn Construction Inc., where she was the in house accountant. She was a faithful member of St. John’s East United Church of Christ and formerly attended St. John’s Boonville United Church of Christ.
Chris is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Steven R. Heidorn; son, Grant Heidorn (Brynn); sister, Judith A. Gemlich; sister in law, Joyce Gemlich; grandchildren, Molly and Emily Heidorn, Tate, Kennedy, Ty, and Talon Trentham.
Chris is preceded in death by her parents; Martin L. Gemlich and Margaret A. Gemlich Trusty (James); and brother, Retired Colonel Stephen L. Gemlich.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, November 20, 2025, at St. John’s East United Church of Christ, 7000 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, IN with Brother John D. Herring, Jr. officiating. Burial will be private at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time, Thursday, November 20, 2025, at St. John’s East United Church of Christ.
