Colby Martin Obituary

Colby Martin, age 52, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family.

Colby was born July 29, 1973, in Urbana, Ohio, to Floyd and Patricia (Emmons) Martin. He graduated from Grace Baptist School in Urbana, Ohio, with the Class of 1992. He later attended Tennessee Temple University, where he met the love of his life, MaryAnn Martin.

Colby began working as a welder alongside his father and went on to become a master welder. He later worked as a maintenance worker for Bethel Community Church, then as a bus driver for Evansville Christian School, and Brown Bus Transportation. He was a faithful member of Heritage Baptist Church.

At the age of five, Colby accepted Christ as his Savior, and his faith remained the foundation of his life. Throughout the years, God called Colby to serve in various ministries, and his ultimate goal was to spread the Gospel of Christ to the world.

Colby loved spending time with his family and was an avid fan of Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Colby is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, MaryAnn (Bullington) Martin; mother, Patricia (Emmons) Martin; daughters, Mariah Martin and Lani Jo Martin; sons, Aaron Martin and Elijah Martin; brother, Phillip Martin (Dawn); and many special cousins, nephews, and nieces.
