Connie S. (Jones) Brown

Connie S. Brown, age 64, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 3:50 a.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Connie was born November 11, 1953, in Evansville, IN, to Alva and Mary Jane (Barfield) Jones. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1971 and Vincennes University.  Connie was a purchasing agent for Deaconess for 33 years and was a faithful volunteer for AARP during tax season. Connie and her husband shared their love for children by providing foster care. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, water sports, and spending time with family. 

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard Brown; sister, Kathy Carney (Dan) of Ankeny, IA; brother, Douglas Jones (Vicki) of Petersburg, IN; sisters in law, Elsie Jones of Winslow, IN and Diane Hisch of Newburgh, IN; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces who held a very special place in her heart, Caydence and Delilah Kennada.

She is preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Bonnie VanDunk; and brother, Bill Jones.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Steve Taylor officiating. Burial will be private in Oak Hill Cemetery. 

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
