Crystal L. (Wheat) Phillips

Crystal L. (Wheat) Phillips, 72, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 4:18 a.m., at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on August 14, 1948 in Wentzville, MO to the late Harry and Lucille Wheat.  She was a graduate of Central High School and earned her degree alongside her husband from The University of Evansville. 

Crystal was a loving mother who adored her grandchildren. She was cheerful and caring and would stop to do anything for anyone.  In her spare time, she enjoyed singing and playing the piano, playing cards with friends and grandkids, and knitting beautiful pieces for her family.  She was fiercely loved and will be dearly missed.  She loved the Lord.

Crystal is survived by her husband, Robert J. Phillips, of 57 years; daughter, Robyn Conley and husband Mike; daughter Stacy Evrard and husband Greg; her five grandchildren Sami Evrard, Madyson Conley, Dani Evrard, Jordyn Conley, and Andi Evrard and loving kitty, Gracie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Steve Wheat, sister Rita (Wheat) Schulte, and brother Harry Wheat Jr.

A gathering will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1811 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714, with a memorial service immediately following at 6:00 pm.
