Danny Kaye Sutton, age 75, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center.
Danny was born October 26, 1948, in Madisonville, KY, to Hurley and Laura Sutton.
Danny served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1969-1971. He was stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma where he received recognition and certification for meritorious service in the 4th Howitzer Battalion 14th Artillery.
Danny retired from Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers after 34 years.
Danny had an affinity for westerns, drinking his coffee, and Motown music. He loved to play basketball and would take his daughters out to shoot hoops with him.
He taught his girls how to swim and drive a car, and would occasionally try to breakdance while watching the girls’ music videos with them.
Danny is survived by his daughters, Darla Moore (Robert) and Jonah Hammer (David); sisters, Peggy and Anna Laura; grandchildren, Isaac, Jaden, Moses, Alana (Ron), Robert, Ally, and Chase; great grandchildren, Leeloo, Drax, Zephyr, Ronnie Jr., and Ella; and former wife of 46 years and friend, Donna Duffy.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shanna Crain; sister, Phyllis; and brothers, Elsa, Walter, and Albert.
Funeral Services will be Private.
