David Hamilton, age 72, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 11:50 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2020, at Golden Living Woodlands.
David was born September 6, 1947, in San Diego, CA, to Raymond Hamilton and Margaret Hamilton and was raised in Terre Haute, IN. He graduated from Wiley High School in 1965. David worked at George Koch Sons as a welder, at multiple Coal Mines, and retired from Kuesters Hardware. He enjoyed Auto Racing, Auto Mechanics, Geology, and many areas of Earth Sciences. David was a wonderful, loving father to his two daughters.
David is survived by Heidi Neifert of 35 years; daughter and son-in-law, Verlita Miller (C.R. Roop) and their 2 children Kyndall and Kinleigh of Owensboro, KY; daughter and son-in-law, Diana Bobbitt (James) of Knoxville, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Heather Lowe (Mark) of Prairie Creek; 6 grandchildren, Danien Boyle and fiance Michael Pauley of Princeton, Malorie Miller (Matt) of Owensville, Kasey Thomas (Kyle) of Princeton, Jonathan Boyle of Fort Branch, Tyler Gray (Amber) of Prairie Creek, Mathew Lowe of Prairie Creek; 6 great-grandchildren, April, Gracie, Case, Hollis, Avah, and Dean. David is also survived by a brother, Michael Hamilton of Terre Haute; a brother-in-law, Martin Kuntz of Indianapolis; nephew and great-nephew, Mark and Evan Kuntz of Danville, IL; former wife, Barbara Day of Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Ralph and Ellen Osler, and Ray and Faye Hamilton; aunt and uncle, Arabelle and Don Brown; aunt and uncle, Peggy and Jack Osler; and sister, Jackie Kuntz.
Private Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2020, at Oak Hill Cemetery.
