Deborah Carlene "Debbie" (Rigsby) Sheese

Deborah Carlene “Debbie” (Rigsby) Sheese, age 67, of Evansville, IN, passed away into the arms of her savior Jesus on Friday, November 3, 2023, surrounded by her husband and daughters.

Debbie was born April 18, 1956, in Lafayette, IN, to Herman Dale Rigsby and Betty (Wilkinson) Shelton.

Debbie was truly the definition of being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. She opened her home to everyone. Debbie always fed anyone in need. During the holidays, her home was always open to any and everyone. Debbie wanted to make sure they felt loved and were receiving a warm holiday meal.

Debbie was loved by many close friends, some for 40+ years. Some looked to her as a mama. She was known for the love she showed her friends and family.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Charles Logsdon, II; daughters, Gina Lefler of Mt. Vernon, IN, Venus Warner (Joseph) of Mt. Pleasant, IL, Dixie Krutsinger (Choi) of Flora, IL, and Rebecca Law (Wade) of Clay City, IL; son, Matthew Sheese (Kris) of Fort Madison, IA; stepdaughter, Karon Schexnaydr (John) of Charleston, IL; stepson, Charles Logsdon, III (Rachel) of Lerna, IL; sister, Tammy Roth of Bettendorf, IA; brother, Dale Rigsby of Detroit, MI; sisters-in-law, Robin Collins of Florida and Karen Lonstad of Colona, IL; 23 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; her beloved dog, Buffy; and many close friends.

Debbie is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Betty and Doyle Shelton; father, Herman Rigsby; husband, Donald Sheese; son, Mark Sheese; 3 grandsons, Kyle Hesford, Ethan Black and Zechariah Law; mother- and father-in-law, Betty and Sam Bacorn; brother-in-law, Dale Sheese; sister- and brother-in-law, Dixie and Bill Stephens; sister-in-law, Celia Davis; and brothers-in-law, Mark Roth and Robert Lonstad.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN, with Pastor Ron Meredith officiating. Burial will be in York Cemetery in York, IL.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
