Dennis Michael Reusch

Dennis Michael Reusch, 66 of Greenwood, Indiana formerly of Evansville, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday, May 06, 2022.

Dennis was born on July 2, 1955 in Evansville, Indiana, the son of Floyd and Rilda Reusch and continued to reside in Evansville, spending a few years in Florida, and moved to Greenwood, IN to be with his family.

In Evansville, Dennis was a proficient and skilled finishing carpenter working with his dad and brother in their family business. He worked on custom homes and even the Hard Rock Café in Florida including finishing intricate details on the guitars and handrails. He designed and built his own furniture. He loved traveling the country, playing his guitar, and singing with family and friends. He had interest and passion for nature, the solar system, and what was going on in the world. He enjoyed fishing and football, a player himself at Castle High School, and big fan of the Colts.

Though Dennis was a loner, he never hesitated to lend a hand when called upon. He loved his family and helped provide care to his parents. He valued his friends and maintained special relationships with his extended family that span from Indiana to Oregon. He cared deeply and that is a direct result of his relationship with Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his sister, Sharon Elmore (Dick) of Greenwood, IN, his nieces, Pamela Elmore (Jetta), and Lacy Negron-Reusch, nephew, Todd Elmore, and great-nieces/nephews, Isaac, Jaylynn, Peyton and Katielynn. His chosen family, Susan Walker, Barbara Jackson, Ronda Murphy, and Stephanie Bohanon.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Rilda Reusch, and his brother Larry Reusch. 

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Mike Claypool officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time. Graveside Committal Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Sunset Cemetery, 1800 St George Rd, Evansville, IN 47711.

Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until service time, 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
