Diana E. (Spurling) Vaughn

Diana E. (Spurling) Vaughn, age 70, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville.

Diana was born February 4, 1955, in Lebanon, KY, to William “Bill” and Naomi (Allen) Spurling. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1973. Diana was a member of Bible Center Cathedral for 65 years. Her faith was important to her and she was known for her daily scripture posts on Facebook. Diana loved taking photos and adored animals. She enjoyed being in nature and travelling, especially to the beach. She was a compassionate and caring person who would do anything to help others. Diana was devoted to her family and loved them more than anything.

Diana is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ron Vaughn; son, Kevin Vaughn; sisters, Sharon Smith, Theresa Bethel, and Laura Summerall; brother, Gary Spurling; and grandchildren, Brennan Vaughn, Kara Vaughn, and Jersey Schoonover.

Diana is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Barry Spurling.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1400 E. Virginia Street, Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Ron Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
