Diane Newcomb Obituary

Diane Marie (Horn) Newcomb, age 79, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Diane was born August 2, 1946, in Evansville, IN, to William Harlan and Clata Marie (Herrell) Horn. She graduated from Central High School in 1964 and was a member of 1on1 Church. She was a past member of Bethel Temple and Harwood Baptist Church. Diane worked as an EMT in Posey County and for Comaier Ambulance Service for many years, was a member of Crescent City Civitan Club, volunteered at the New Life Center, and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1114 Auxiliary. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle and going to the Indy 500 with her beloved husband. Diane loved making fudge, cherry delight, numerous pies, and eating peanut butter and jelly waffles. She cared deeply and loved the Lord with all of her heart.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Donald “Don” Newcomb; daughter, Tamika Marie Liebhart; sons, Jon Wayne Newcomb and Brian Keith Newcomb (Misty); brother, Darrell Gene Horn; grandchildren, Ryan Montgomery, Andrew Liebhart (Mallory), Alyssa Seib (Carl), Cristian Liebhart, Jazmyn Liebhart, Alexander Liebhart, Jaxon Liebhart, Shalonda Newcomb (John Perkins), Jon “JP” Newcomb, Hannah Newcomb, Madeline Newcomb, Kianna Pitegoff, Jaron Pitegoff, Tanner Newcomb, Magdalen Eagan (Zach), Samuel Newcomb, Jordan Fisher, and Cameron Fisher (Kamryn); and great grandchildren, Carter, Tinsley, Teagan, Talon, Caiden, Greyson, Elliana, Mitchell, Emersyn, Maelanii, Ledger, Stella, Calvin, Thomas, Tatum, Ayva, Easton, Zayden, and Cleo.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Dona Rae Pitegoff; brother, Jerry Horn; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN, with Pastor Steve Schwambach and Pastor Dave Schwambach officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, September 5, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
