Dixie Adcock Obituary

Dixie Lee (Beadles) Adcock, age 85, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 4:11 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at The Village at Hamilton Pointe.

Dixie was born March 22, 1939, in Evansville, IN, to Lester and Thelma Beadles. She was the only child. Dixie graduated from Central High School in 1957. Dixie and Kenny were married on June 13, 1957. Together they started AAA Delivery Service. Dixie worked at Spaldings Food Center as a union meat cutter until they closed. She went to work for Deaconess Hospital until she retired after 17 years. Dixie loved automobiles with the sound of a good exhaust. Dixie also owned and rode her own motorcycles. She was very talented at playing almost all instruments including teaching her husband how to play the guitar. Her most enjoyable times were singing and playing music with her husband Kenny. Her family believes she passed away of a broken heart after losing the love of her life “Kenny” last October.

Dixie is survived by her only daughter, Robyn Mastison (Jim); grandchildren, David Mastison (Amanda) and Krystal Hebbeler (Greg); and 5 great grandchildren, Jordyn (Bradin), Mykah, Hayden, Gage and Cam.

Dixie is preceded in death by her late husband, Kenny; and her parents, Lester and Thelma Beadles.

There will be Private Graveside Services.

The family would like to Thank the staff at The Village of Hamilton Pointe for their care and compassion.
