Donald Hoffman, age 75, of Evansville, IN, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022, at home.
Donald was born October 24, 1946, in Evansville, IN, to Charles and Dorothy (Hust) Hoffman. He graduated from Bosse High School and was a Veteran in the United States Air Force. Donald served on the Evansville Fire Department for over 40 years before retiring as a Captain in 2012. Donald also worked for Macer Delivery Service for over 20 years. Donald was a man of faith and was a member of Crossroads Christian Church. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan, and he especially loved spoiling his grandchildren.
Donald is survived by his son, Kyle Hoffman (Jamie); step-son, Matthew Leslie (Adrienne); twin brother, Ronald Hoffman (Anna); and grandchildren, Noah Hoffman, Claire Hoffman, Grace Hoffman, Lucas Hoffman, and Max Hoffman.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Hoffman; son, Eric Keith Hoffman; and wife, Gayle (Lucas) Hoffman.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Robert “Cooky” Hames and Mike Fisher for their friendship with Donald over the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Jack Arney officiating where the American Legion Kapperman Post 44 will perform a walk-through and render full Military Rites. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum where the Evansville Fire Department Honor Guard will render full Burial Rites.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, September 30, 2022, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
