Donald R. “Don” Moore, 89, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Golden Living Brentwood, Evansville, IN.
Don was born April 8, 1932 in Posey County to John and Bessie (Bradford) Moore. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, service during the Korean Conflict. Don was a Warrick County Special Deputy and worked at Evansville Auto Auction for 11 years, from 1958 until 1969. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of service. He had also been employed as a Motorcycle Escort Officer for Comaier Escort Services.
Don is survived by his daughters; Martha Welborn, Sandra Proctor (James) and Teresa Daniels; step-daughters, Marsha (Mike) Howington and Sondra (Randy) Brown; step-son, Mike (Lisa) Pharr; maternal aunt, Goldie Abernathy of Mt Vernon, IN. 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren
Don is preceded in death by his parents; wives; Bonnie Pharr (Burleson) Moore, and Carolyn (Williams) Moore; sons, Dennis Moore, Randy Moore; stepson, William Adcock; sister, Anita Ainsworth.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor James Proctor officiating. Entombment will be in Park Lawn Georgian Chapel.
Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
