Donald L. Patterson, 70, of Evansville, died Friday, May 5, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital of an aneurysm.
He retired from Red Spot Paints, where he worked as a sales representative and had worked for Sherwin Williams.
He was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where he was on the board of trustees and a member of the 4- C’ers Sunday school class. He was also a member of Plumb Masonic Lodge 862 and Kosair Shrine Temple in Louisville, Ky., and a Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are his wife of two years, Betty (McNeely); a daughter, Donna Jaha of Louisville; a stepdaughter, Linda Martin of Waycross, Ga.; a son, Michael of Louisville; two stepsons, Terry Martin of Evansville and Chris Martin of Austin, Texas; his mother, Cora Patterson of Louisville; two sisters, Alta Messex and Tootie Davis, both of Louisville; a brother, Wayne of Louisville; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas and Michele Jaha, Ryan and Evan Patterson and
Brock, Bethanne, Blair and Jonathon Martin; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence, in 1996.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. EST Tuesday at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home Hike’s Point Chapel in Louisville, the Rev. C. Mac Hamon officiating, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel and from 1 to 8 p.m. EST Monday at Arch L. Heiady Funeral Home.
