Donald G. Pleiss

Donald G. Pleiss, age 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at home.

Don was born November 27, 1937, in Evansville, IN, to Harold George and Margaret (Hemd) Pleiss. He graduated from Central High School in 1956. In his younger years, Don owned Evansville Poultry, later operated Don and Donna’s Sports Bar in Newburgh, and went on to work as a mortgage broker for North Shore Mortgage Company. He enjoyed being a Junketeer for a casino in Atlantic City, a Marine Reservist, a Hadi Shriner, and a Masonic Mason. Don also loved to play golf at Rolling Hills Country Club, watch golf, cheer on the Chicago Bears, spend time with his friends, and he especially loved his grandchildren. His favorite phrase was, “Hey, Jim.”

Don is survived by sons, Scott Pleiss (Karen) and Douglas Pleiss; son-in-law, David Seibert; grandchildren, Drew Seibert, Matthew Pleiss, Meghan Reffett (Cory), and Jennifer Pleiss; and great grandchildren, Tabor, Bryer, Bryce, and James.

Don is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 57 years, Donna (Breidenbach) Pleiss; daughter, Kerri Seibert; and brother, Herschel Pleiss.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 23, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Mike Claypool officiating. Burial will be Private.

Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until service time, Sunday, February 23, 2020, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
