Donna C. (Dickens) Bolin

Donna C. (Dickens) Bolin, age 87, of Evansville, IN passed away at 10:45 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Evansville Protestant Home.

Donna was born January 6, 1934, in Shoals, IN, to the late George and Goldie (Allbright) Dickens.  Donna was a devoted and loving wife and mother.  She was a nurse, graduating from Vincennes University in 1954.  After graduation, she worked in the operating room at Good Samaritan Hospital until marrying Harold W. Bolin in April of 1956.  They made their home in Evansville where she worked in the operating room at St. Mary's Hospital, working part time after children were born and finally retiring in 1975.  After that she helped her husband run his business, Hydronic Sales, Inc. until he retired in 2000.  She and her family were a member of Eastside Christian Church.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

She is survived by her brother, Beryl Dickens, sons; John M. Bolin (Vikki) of San Diego, CA, Todd L. Bolin (Debbie) of Evansville, IN, and Robert N. Bolin (Sharon) of Forest, VA; grandchildren, Mark Bolin, Sarah Cantrell, Madelynn Bolin, Brittney Casale, and Marissa Bolin; and great-grandchild, Sawyer Cantrell.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harold W. Bolin (d. 8/25/2018), her brother, Keith Dickens and her sister, Mary Turner.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - A Family Traditional Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating.
