Donna S. (Hall) Reeder

Donna Sue (Hall) Reeder, age 85, passed away peacefully in her home on July 6, 2026. She was born on August 30, 1940, in Henderson, Kentucky, to the late Mary Elizabeth (Nunley) and Lester Earl Hall. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Donna attended Audubon and Center Grade Schools in Henderson. After graduating from Henderson City High School in 1958, she continued her education at Lockyear Business College, graduating in 1959. Throughout her professional career, Donna dedicated her skills to Toledo Scale, the Indiana University School of Business, Sears, and Manpower. She married David Brown Reeder Jr., on August 21, 1960, and they shared sixty-five beautiful years of marriage together.

As a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church for over fifty-five years, Donna served in the nursery as well as in children’s and youth ministries. Outside of church, you could often find Donna on the golf course; she was an active member of three local ladies’ golf leagues in the Evansville area. She loved being busy and productive.

Donna’s life centered on those she loved, family and friends. She was very encouraging of her husband, and earlier in her life worked long and hard, supporting him through school. Donna enjoyed games nights with friends. Above all, she dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watched their successes in their various activities as she grew older. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Throughout their married life, Donna and David were able to travel and their adventures took them to places like Aruba and Harlaxton College (University of Evansville). She enjoyed European expeditions to England, Ireland, and various places around the Harlaxton Manor. Their other travels included countless family beach trips to Florida and Rough River State Park in Kentucky.

Donna is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, David, her daughter Dana (David) Comer of Evansville, IN; her son Michael (Becky) Reeder of Wichita Falls, TX; her seven grandchildren, Seth (friend Samantha) Comer, Emily (Drew) Phebus, Jessie (Luke) Springfield, Ellen (Kyle) Fischer, Maggie (Ryan) David, Nora (Trevor) Havard and Mark-David (Katelynn) Reeder; and ten great-grandchildren: Hannah, Brynlee, Kylie, Gavin, Easton, Sutton, Leighton, Riggs, Annabel, Matthew, and another expected in December.

Donna is also survived by her sisters, Judy (Dennis) Wicker and Vickie (Gordon) Holder; her nephew Jon (Beth) Wicker; and niece Sarah (Kelvin) Canaday along with several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Elizabeth Hall and her father and mother-in-law David B. Sr. and Anna Ruth (Cooksey).

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Boone Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville, IN.

A Celebration of Donna’s Life, conducted by Rev. Rick O’Daniel, will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation prior from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Fairmont Cemetery, 1807 S. Green St., Henderson, KY.
