Dorothy M. Wuerth, 73, of Evansville, died at 2:36 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Mrs. Wuerth, a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, retired in 1986 from GenCorp., where she worked for 15 years. She had also worked at Swift & Co.
She enjoyed music and movies and was an avid fan of youth sports.
Her husband, George, died in 1985.
Surviving are daughters, Donna Brown of West Chester, Pa., and Sandee Wuerth of Evansville; sons, George Wuerth of Evansville and Robert Wuerth of Newburgh; sisters, Pat Devlin, Carol Wingerter, Peggy Schnur, Joan Minnette and Rita Nellis, all of Evansville and Betty Werner of Eddyville, Ky.; brothers, Richard and James Minnette, both of Evansville; and grandchildren, Laurie Brown, Natalie, Angela, Stephanie and Max Wuerth.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home — 5330 Washington Ave., continued at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Brian Holtz officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home, where a memorial service will be at 7 p.m.
The family said friends, if they wish, may make memorial contributions to Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
