Dr. Douglas C. Offutt, 52, of Evansville, died at 6:20 a.m. Saturday at his home of cancer.
A doctor of internal medicine, he had worked with Dr. George Wilson and Associates since 1978, retiring in 1994 He was a member of the Indiana State Medical Association, the Warrick and Vanderburgh medical societies, and the St. Mary’s Medical Center staff.
He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1970 and graduated from IU medical school in 1975. He served his residency at IU medical center.
Surviving are his wife, Wendy; a daughter, Angela Mason of Mesa, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Sarah Milligan, at home; a sister, Kay Lee of Valparaiso, Ind.; and a granddaughter, Erin Mason.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Boone Funeral Home — East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave.
Burial services will be private.
Friends may call noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Foundation for Cancer Research of Bethesda, Md.
