Dr. Judi Brezausek - Rodgers

Dr. Judi Brezausek-Rodgers, age 57, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 5:49 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2020, at her home.

Judi was born September 12, 1963, in Indianapolis, IN, to Rudolph Charles Brezausek, Jr. and Sumie (Ihara) Brezausek. She graduated as Valedictorian from the 1981 Class - John Marshall High School in Indianapolis, IN. In 1985, Judi double majored in Biology and Chemistry at IUPUI in Indianapolis, IN. She graduated from IU School of Medicine 1989 in Indianapolis, IN, where she served as Class Secretary. Judi chose Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN, to complete her Residency, where she was beneficial in the start-up of the Pilot Program for the Women MD’s Grant. Judi loved children but was not blessed with any of her own. She enjoyed cooking, especially for family and friends, whom she loved. Judi was a dedicated physician who cared deeply for her patients.

Judi is survived by her parents; her loving husband of 25 years, Charles Rodgers; step-children, Brandon Rodgers, Renee’ Broshears (Darrin); sister, Linda Brezausek-Sodano, DDS (Thomas Sodano, Jr. DDS); nephews, Quentin Thomas Sodano and Vincent Charles Sodano; and many grandchildren.

Judi is preceded in death by her grandparents, Rudolph and Marie Brezausek; and great-uncle, Carl Jones.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Father Ted Tempel officiating.
