Edna Mae Fildes, age 89, of Evansville, IN, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 29, 2020, at Linda E. White Hospice House.
Edna was born January 6, 1931, in Evansville, IN, to Philip Willman and Dona (Martin) Willman. She graduated from Central High School in 1949. Edna was a member of Living Word Christian Church in Newburgh. Edna was a former Sunday School teacher at Oak Hill Baptist Church and she loved to travel. She enjoyed spending time with her family and has missed her brothers and sisters since their passing.
Edna is survived by her husband of 68 years, Hubert Fildes; sons, Glenn Fildes (Teresa) and David Fildes (Debbie); 7 grandchildren and 17 great -grandchildren.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Virgina Deusner, Louise Doan and Melba Montgomery; brother, Charles Willman.
Private Funeral Services for immediate family only will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating.
