Edna L. (Warford) Lynch, age 100, of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville.
Edna was born September 22, 1924, in Benton, KY, to Euiel and Jessie (Doom) Warford.
A gentle and loving spirit bound by mortal flesh, has been released and allowed to soar to be with her Lord and beloved family who has gone before her. Edna loved life, but was ready to go to her home in Heaven. Always looking forward to going to church, singing and praising the Lord. She loved watching Kentucky basketball, crocheting, gardening, and playing cards with her neighbors at Oasis.
Edna is survived by her son, Billy Lynch (Glenda); daughters, Sheila Burdette (Harry) and Jeannie Davis (Archie); daughter-in-law, Karen Lynch; grandchildren, Candy Marsh, Christa Bruning, Melissa Bostick, Melanie Casey, Chance Lynch, Kimberly Ouzts, Wendy Searcy, Danny McKenzie and Bonnie Jones; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Euiel and Jessie Warford; husband, Joseph Lynch; son, Dale Lynch; and grandson, Nevada Lynch.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Vann Avenue Baptist Church, 2608 Vann Ave, Evansville, IN 47714 with Reverend Dr. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery at 1613 Park Avenue, Paducah, KY 42001.
Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Vann Avenue Baptist Church, 2608 Vann Ave, Evansville, IN 47714.
