Edward Leland Friend

Edward Leland Friend, age 81, of Newburgh, IN passed at 3:05 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his family.

Edward was born, September 14, 1938, in Fairfield, Illinois, to Miles Nelson Friend and Junetta Friend - Arnold (Wilkins). He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1956. Edward went to Sam’s Technical Institute and then worked as an electrician for many years. He retired from Alcoa, Whirlpool and Warrick County Parks and Recreation. Edward loved horses and his family, especially his grandchildren.

Edward is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters, Melissa Dawn Seitz; son, Nelson Edward Friend (Pam); sisters, Sherri Mae Boulous, Paula Lynn Martin; brother, Miles Friend and Ronnie Friend; and four grandchildren, Natasha, Brandon, Zachary and Camera.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bob Friend, Donnie Friend, Harold Arnold and son in-law Brian Seitz..

Funeral Services will be private.
