Eileen "Toots" "Memaw" (Hooker) Beck

Eileen “Toots” “Memaw” (Hooker) Beck, age 83, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully at 7:34 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023, at home, with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.

Eileen was born July 7, 1940, in Evansville, IN, to Russell and Irma (Overton) Hooker. She graduated from Cynthiana High School and worked in production at Whirlpool where she retired after 31 years. Eileen graduated from Purdue’s Master Gardner program. She was skilled at home remodeling and landscaping.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Stephanye Haller (Tony) and her family, Toni Marie Thompson and Pete Thompson and their families; granddaughter, Breanna Koewler (Richard) and her family, Landon, Leah, Hailie, and soon to be born, Cora; and the Hayes Family, her beloved neighbors that she considered second family.

Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Larry, Donald, and Gene Hooker.

Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:15 p.m. CST, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Liberty Cemetery, 10513 Greeley St., Cynthiana, IN 47612.
