Eliza “Carol” Heavrin, 80, of Evansville, died at 11 p.m. Friday at her home.
Mrs. Heavrin was a dental assistant and a lab technician at Welborn Clinic, retiring in 1972.
She graduated in 1934 from Sturgis (Ky.) High School, and was a 52-year member of First Christian Church, where she was a member of its’ Keenager Group.
Her husband, Burbie L. Heavrin, died in 1993,
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, David Wayne and Nancy Heavrin of Evansville; grandchildren, Jennifer Genet, Julie Hoehn and Janna Gulledge; and great grandchildren; Kendra, Lindsey and Jeremy Genet, and Ryan Gulledge.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel — 5330 Washington Ave., with the Rev. Jerry Clark officiating.. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis, Ky. Friends may ,call from 3 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
The family said friends, if they wish, may make memorial contributions to Riley Children’s Hospital.
