Esther (Brown) Robinson

Esther Robinson, age 88, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:58 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2020, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Esther was born September 6, 1931, in Terre Haute, IN, to Henry Brown and Mamie Tyler Brown.  She attended Lincoln High School and returned to school later in life earning an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development in Louisville, Ky.  She worked as Director of a Day Care in Louisville Ky until she changed careers in 1990 when she began working as Director of First Impressions for Dismas Charities in 1998.   She retired in 2018 due to an illness.   She was a devoted member of AME Baptist Church in Louisville.

Esther is survived by her daughter, Annette Littles; son, Darrel Wayne Hines (Essie); sister, Frances Johnson; and 12 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Esther is preceded in death by her husband George Robinson; son, James Hines, Jr.; and siblings, Dallas Sprinkles, Joseph Cole, Priscilla Hood, Uvet Staten and Frederick Johnson.

Private Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville IN.
