Ethan Skinner Obituary

Ethan Lee Skinner, age 28, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Evansville, IN, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024, at his home.

Ethan was born June 18, 1996, in Henderson, KY, to Curtis and Karen Skinner. He enjoyed hiking, camping, rock climbing, snowboarding, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.  He truly loved his family and friends and cherished every moment with them.  He was a skilled vocalist, pianist, guitar, and trumpet player.  He radiated joy while using his talents to praise the Lord and lead others in worship.

Ethan was a 2015 graduate of Evansville North High School where he was a passionate member of the North Green Brigade.  He went on to graduate in 2018 from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.  He had recently completed the licensing requirements and was embarking on a career as a State Farm agent.

Ethan is survived by his parents, Curtis and Karen Skinner; loving wife of 3 years, Riley (Hanagan) Skinner; sister, Dylan Wathen (Ryan); niece, Audrey Skinner; nephew, Theodore “Teddy” Wathen; grandparents, John Skinner, Lynn Skinner, Mary Skinner, and Melissa Stengell; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Tiffini Hanagan, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ethan is preceded in death by cousin, Drew Sims; aunt, Lori Orange Wilson; and grandfather, Ronnie Stengell.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2024, at Christian Fellowship Church, 4100 Millersburg Rd, Evansville, IN 47725. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Monday, September 30, 2024, at Christian Fellowship Church.
