Evelyn Theyson Wattam, age 106, of Evansville, IN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, March 23, 2025, at the Evansville Protestant Home.
Evelyn was born December 29, 1918, in Evansville, IN, to George A. and Norma (Schineman) Theyson. She graduated from Central High School and was a past member of Morningside Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She served as Sunday School Teacher for Primary, Teens, and Adult Classes through the years at different churches. She loved the Lord and enjoyed Bible studies. Evelyn was devoted to her family, and she loved spending time with them. She worked for many years as the Office Manager for Wattam Plumbing Co., her late husband’s company, before they retired in 1985. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, writing, and watching the University of Evansville Aces Basketball games.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Sara Beth Kouts (Russell) of Carmel, IN, and Myrna Weatherholt of Evansville, IN; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; George and Norma Theyson; her loving husband of 60 years, Kenneth L. Wattam, who passed away in 1997; daughter, Nina Jo Wolfe, who passed away in 2015; and sister, Bettye Chandler.
Graveside Services will be Private for the Family at Park Lawn Mausoleum.
