Florence Rycroft Obituary

Florence G. Rycroft, 88, of Evansville, died at 9:58 a.m. Thursday at Deaconess Hospital.

A graduate of Indiana University School of Nursing, she was surgery supervisor of nursing at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis until 1946.

She was a member of Central Methodist Church and Fountain County (Ind.) Eastern Star.

Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Dr. Chester A. Rycroft Jr.; and a son, Dr. Chester A. Rycroft III of Evansville.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Central United Methodist Church, the Rev. C. Mac Hamon officiating, with entombment in Oak Hill Cemetery,

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Boone Funeral Homes 5330 Washington Ave.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Endowment Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
