Florence M. (Hanson) Springer

Florence M. (Hanson) Springer, age 87, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent - Evansville.

Florence was born December 6, 1936, in Bagley, MN, to the late Oswald and Cora (Iverson) Hanson. Florence retired from Kent Plastics as a production inspector after 24 years. She was formerly employed by the federal government in Civil Service in Washington D.C. Florence enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and loved her beloved dog, Lily.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Martin (Christopher) and Shawn Bender; sons, Shane Springer, Jr. (Karen) and Kevin Springer (Tammy); sister, Leona Olson; sister in law, Bernetta Hanson; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Florence is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eileen Jasperson, Coral Friborg, Janette Brown and Evelyn Speer; brother, Kenneth Hanson; son in law, Patrick Bender; and daughter in law, Sandy Ramage.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Palliative Care Team and the entire staff that cared for her at Ascension St. Vincent – Evansville, and the entire staff at North River Health Campus.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Chris Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
