Frances Louise (Nalley) Martin, age 79, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at home, surrounded by her family.
Louise was born April 10, 1942, in Morganfield, KY, to Thomas H. and Frances Gertrude (Mills) Nalley. She graduated from St. Vincent Boarding School. Louise worked as head cashier for 28 years for Great Scot Supermarket and for Dolly Madison for 9 years before she retired. She enjoyed watching horse races, and she especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Louise is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James Martin; children, Randy Martin (Anita); Tim Martin; Tony Martin (Jenny); and Kathy Garrett (Rodney); sister, Mary Girten; brother, William Nalley; grandchildren, Amber Martin, Derek Martin (Nina), Nick Lacer (Katie), Kira Eaden (Steven), David Martin, James Martin (Christina), Leah Baham (Justin), Dana McDaniel (Matt), Blake McIntosh, Devin Garrett, and Tyler Garrett; and great grandchildren, Amaiyah, Adleigh, Lucas, Kayson, Mason, Lane, Braylee, Sophia, Reid, Brynn, Beau, and Maddie.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Frances Nalley; and siblings, Lafayette Nalley, James Nalley, Ann Dixon, Betty Jackson, Juanita Carl, and Marion Nalley.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville.
